These past few months have been challenging for everyone. Not a news flash, we know. Is there anyone who has not experienced a major life shift? Indeed, it seems that the ground is constantly moving from under us. This June brings Connecticut making tentative steps to return to “normal” and our community’s celebration of Pride – always important and joyous – especially this year.
All of us at the Hartford Gay & Lesbian Health Collective want you to know that in these disjointed times, we are forging ahead. It was a difficult decision to close our doors, when everything shut down in March. Even so, we are helping clients in emergency situations. We are answering a myriad of questions that people call and email to us. We continue to be a resource for all who reach out to us. A virus does not stop the need for sympathetic and knowledgeable healthcare. The Health Collective is NOT easily waylaid.
We’re not going to soft-pedal things: this interruption does affect us, and we need YOU to help us. We need YOUR help so that we can get back on track and make the future more stable for our clients and agency. YOUR donation will help us to focus on helping the community and less on focusing on how to get the financial resources to make that happen. With YOUR support we can continue our service to everyone who needs us and our work to be part of the COVID-19 solution.
In the meantime: Please stay safe, Happy Pride and enjoy your summer. And THANK YOU for being part of the Hartford Gay & Lesbian Health Collective’s family.
